Repeat Prescriptions

There are a number of ways your can order your repeat prescriptions at our practice.

Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be prepared before collection and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account..

By Email

You can request your medication by emailing us. To do this, simply send an email to our reception team, who monitor the inbox on a daily basis. Please include your Name, Date of Birth and Address along with the exact list of medications required in order for us to process your medication request.

The email address to send your prescription requests to is : [email protected]

Online Services

You can also order your prescriptions online by logging in to your Online Services account and selecting the medication section. This will then allow you to tick which prescriptions you need and once submitted, it will send the request directly to us for processing.

If you haven’t already registered for an Online Services account, please contact the practice for more information.

NHS App

You can also order your prescriptions online by logging in to the NHS App. You will be able to see your available medicines, request a new repeat prescription and choose a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to.

In Person

Prescriptions can also be obtained by handing the repeat slip that accompanied your last prescription at reception or by simply submitting a handwritten request. If submitting a handwritten request, please include your Name, Date of Birth and Address along with the list of medications required in order for us to process your medication request.

We have 2 prescription boxes at each site, if you are unable to locate them please ask a member of staff.

Please note we do not take repeat prescription requests over the telephone.

Electronic Prescribing Service

Instead of issuing a green hand signed paper prescription, the doctor can now send the prescription electronically to your chosen pharmacist.

This means you don’t have to come back to the surgery to pick up the prescription, but you can go straight to the pharmacist and pick up your medicine.

To select or change your nominated pharmacy, please ask a receptionist at the practice to update this on your record.

If your Medication is not in stock

Sometimes, patients find that their preferred pharmacy does not have stock of the prescribed item.  In these cases the patient should ring round other Pharmacies to check their stock, as they often use different suppliers.

It is not the responsibility of the practice to re-issue an alternative prescription based on one pharmacy not having supplies.
